Disneyland

Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th – 30th 2022

Choir of the Titans, Soundscape, and Chorale are planning a trip to the Anaheim area over Memorial Day weekend. We will have a couple of choir exchanges/clinics on the way down, attend Disneyland’s Performance Art workshop where the students will work directly with industry professionals to create a magical ensemble piece, and of course experience the magic of Disneyland.

Background Checks

Make sure you have a background check. You can get one through the Salem-Keizer School District Website: https://salkeiz.k12.or.us/volunteering/

Chaperone

Chaperones do not pay to go. They only pay out of pocket money for the same meals that the students also must pay for. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please complete and turn in the form by Friday, January 7, 2022. Safety is our biggest concern. It is safest to choose parent chaperones who are known in the department. If you would like to go, consider volunteering at choir events, such as Winter at West, in order to be known.

If you are interested in being a chaperone for the Disneyland Trip, please complete and turn in the Chaperone Application Form by Friday, January 7, 2022.

Letter of Intent

In order to reserve buses, meal reservations, and hotel rooms, we need an accurate headcount of who will be going. Please fill out the Letter of Intent and return along with $50 deposit by Wednesday, October 6th. You may use money in your student accounts for this deposit. Please indicate this on the form.

The cost of the Trip is $700, which includes charter buses, four nights hotel, Chaperones, two dinners, all breakfasts, and the cost of participating in the Disneyland workshops as well as entrance into both Disneyland theme parks.

COVID (or anything else) all money paid, except for money earned with fundraisers/concessions, will be refunded. ALL money can be rolled over or gifted to pay for next year’s Choir tour.

Packet

The Disneyland Trip Packet contains important information about deposits and forms you will need. If there are any changes, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Safety

Please keep in mind that the choir students will be on a crowded bus and traveling to a tourist destination. We know that this may be an issue with some due to Covid.
